We'd love to see it. This is a big issue in the DC-Baltimore chapter.

Subject: Re: [Stc_presidents-discuss] Mentoring programs
STC Houston has a new mentoring program we've rolled out this year that has been received well. The program involves pairing area technical communication students with senior-level STC Houston members. Our program is outlined in a document that I can send on. Sadly, I will not be able to attend the conference this year. However, Cindy Pao will be there and a part of leadership day. I will see if she can share our experiences or I will pass along our program document to you, Carolyn.

On behalf of the Community Affairs Committee, I am compiling a list of communities that have a local mentoring program.
We would like to offer a break-out session at Leadership Day during which community leaders can discuss these programs and STC's Mentor Board (http://www.stc.org/education/1414-mentor-board).
When you let me know if your community has a mentoring program, please also let me know if a representative from your leadership team will be attending Leadership Day at the STC Summit.
